Outline of the program

Understanding of the latest developments in the work and approaches of US colleagues across several themes: Diversity, Experiential Education, Issues in Career Services, Global Issues, Legal/Ethical Issues, Professional Development, Technology, Recruitment and Retention. – A must not miss presentation from Kirsty Mitchell who has recently attended the 2009 National Association of Careers and Employment Conference from the 9th-12th of June. In this PD event, she will explore the key innovations presented, share and discuss their applicability to the Australian context.

Biographical Details:

Kirsty Mitchell is the Employment Services Manager of the Career Development Centre at Bond University and is currently completing the Masters of Career Development via ECU.

Gillian Kelly is an international award winning Career Marketing Expert, Certified Personal Branding Strategist, and multi-credentialed Master Resume Writer.

As a personal marketing expert and career sector veteran, Gillian is a multiple award winner in the international “Toast of the Resume Industry” Awards and is one of only a few individuals worldwide to be the recipient of the prestigious Master Resume Writer Lifetime Achievement Award. As an active industry member Gillian’s career advice and work are featured in numerous books and software products globally. As a career sector trend watcher, she is regularly sourced by the media, career sites and business as a career topic expert and speaker. Gillian is a Director of the career consultancy house Career Edge and career transition company Outplacement Australia and a member of CDAA’s Queensland Committee, Career Directors International’s Resume Writer Certification Panel and International Committee.
