You are invited to nominate for a Committee Member position for the CDAA NSW Division Committee in 2010. Positions will be decided at the AGM on 22 February 2010. As you know the NSW Division is managed by Members of the Association who volunteer their time. NSW Division continues to have many excellent initiatives in progress for 2010 and beyond, for the benefit of members, and to educate the community about the value and contribution of our work and our profession. These activities can only continue with your assistance.

The only qualifying criterion for nomination to the committee is that you must be a financial member at the time of the NSW AGM in February 2010. We ask that you ensure that your 2010 annual National renewal is up-to-date.

Nomination form and information:

With a large Committee the workload and time commitment for each contributor is minimised. NSW Division needs to keep moving forward with your active participation. Please consider nominating for a position (position descriptions are linked above). Speak with a current Committee Member about your interest or contact Brian James, President at
brian.james@optusnet.com.au or 0419 997 712.

Managing the Expectations of Senior Clients

Setting expectations of Senior Clients is absolutely crucial and must be agreed between practitioner and client at the outset. This includes time frame, cost, gaining an understanding of their requirements etc. to ensure we are able to structure and deliver our services.

This interactive session will look at selling and marketing what we do and gaining the commitment of Senior Clients to ensure disengagement does not happen. It will look at ensuring we understand how to deliver at the depth required by this level of client, how we can ensure we retain commitment and achieve the outcomes they require. Understanding initial requirements is essential, but we must also be prepared to be open to managing changing requirements as clients gain more clarity on the outcomes they require.

This presentation will address the specific CDAA competencies of Advanced Communication Skills, Ethical Practice and Professional Practice.
