Conversations on Narrative Approach in Practice - 17 November 2008

Join Karel, an experienced psychologist, career consultant and executive coach, as she engages you in conversations around the use of Narrative Theory in career development work. Recent case studies will be provided by Karel and participants will be invited to contribute their case studies to the discussion.

Discussion will cover:

  • The use of case studies to demonstrate the Narrative approach and its interrelationship with other theories in practice eg Systems, Constructivism and Chaos /Complexity
  • Key strategies to use in the Narrative approach
  • The importance of “mindfulness” in the dynamic between the client story and the role of the career practitioner

This workshop is limited to 20 participants so early booking is recommended!

The Wearne Resource Consultancy was established in 1989. Karel was the inaugural President of AACC NSW Division (now CDAA) for 7 years. She has been an active member of the NSW Committee in various roles from 1992 to 2008. For more than 10 years, Karel has been a popular provider of a variety of professional development training for career practitioners at CDAA Annual Conferences and she has co-convened the 3 Sydney conferences. She has also trained career development practitioners for the NSW Department of Education, Independent Schools Association as well as presenting on career development to the Australian Psychological Society.

Refund Policy:
